Al Pescatore Case Study
The Beginning
This website started with a template that we have from our builder. We like to use templates or websites that the client has chosen to get the ball rolling as some people don’t know where to start.
Al Pescatore was happy to start with this template and asked a lot of questions about what we could and could not do. They asked about changing the heading fonts, the background colours, basically the whole website, to which we of course said yes. The template, however, was a great start and it showed them what was possible.
We were asked a lot of questions throughout this build as they wanted what they had in mind to come to fruition. We were happy to oblige to the changes and they were always keen to hear our feedback about any additions/changes.
We, as a company, find it a lot easier to work with clients that are interested in our advice but we also love it when they come up with ideas – it becomes a true collaboration between the designer and the client.
The Challenges
Al Pescatore wanted these archways to go throughout the sections which became a bit of a challenge as it was not responsive. I let the owner know about the difficulty and they gladly said that if it’s not possible, then we can think of something else. I found a way to create the arches in Canva which turned into the background images of the two sections that they are currently on.
The Wins
All websites come together in the end. It’s difficult to let people know that the website will come together; it just takes time and a few changes here and there.
We finished the website just in time for a weekend when the restaurant got busy. I was told that many people complimented the website and how it drove home the brand and essence of who the restaurant is and what it stands for. We were all so chuffed with the outcome and the owner asked us to stay on to conduct any changes that they need.
The Result
In December 2023 I was approached by Hudson who reached out to our company after having dined at our restaurant. We have been approached by many design companies but never in such a polite and professional manner. He had already done his market research, had a lovely personal approach, and understood what the company needed before we even met. It was an absolute breath of fresh air.
Since we were in high season, I was unable to have a meeting at the time and asked him to be in contact with me in January. To my surprise, he was 100% on point and contacted us on the exact day specified. He was patient to meet with regards to setting a date and generous with his time when we met. Hudson understood the brief and his domineer is so pleasant and easy to work with.
He timeously came back to me with not only a very reasonable quote but also had a mockup for me to view. He allowed me to ask all my questions, (of which there were many) and even took the time to make changes on the mockup so that I had peace of mind that he was the right person for the job.
What I really enjoyed was Hudson’s care and commitment to making the website exactly to I had envisioned. He invested so much time on video calls and back-and-forth conversations with me to discuss the finest details. He was always readily available and worked very efficiently.
We now proudly have a beautifully hand-crafted website thanks to Hudson’s hard work and dedication. I will definitely be doing business with him in the future.
I would highly recommend doing business with him. He is not only a wonderful person to deal with but also an exceptionally professional businessman who understands his clients’ needs and is committed to making the entire experience a pleasure from start to finish.
